Who is Elliot Sherer?

Empathetic, generous beyond measure, and a true leader, Elliot Sherer currently serves as a Senior VP of Investments with Aegis Capital Corp and holds a 7,63 license.

A graduate of the University of Rochester, he offers a total of 24 years of experience within the securities industry as a registered representative on Wall St.

Nevertheless, Sherer’s primary focus is fatherhood. He and his son have an incredible, unbreakable bond. Sherer’s son has Lennox-Gastatut Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that leads to severe and debilitating seizures. The numerous challenges and difficulties posed by this condition have led him to become proficient in the use of adaptive equipment and emergency care equipment. Sherer is also CPR certified with AED training.

In all that he does, Sherer strives to set a good example, not only for his son but for those in his mentorship program. Leading trainees and young people as they enter the securities industry with Aegis Capital, he helps mold the next generation of emerging finance professionals. And being a mentor is a huge source of enjoyment for Sherer. A strong communicator and listener, mentorship provides him the opportunity to pay it forward and impart his hard-earned wisdom to young stockbrokers.

Furthermore, Sherer has a long-established passion for philanthropy. In addition to being a member of EPIC Long Island, he makes regular contributions to a number of charitable organizations, including but not limited to ASPCA, Citizens Campaign for the Environment, Dravet Syndrome Foundation, Long Island Cares Food Bank, PETA, Ronald McDonald House, Save the Children, St. Jude, and Wounded Paw Project.
